Dateline: Portsmouth, Ohio - December 2005

The Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home, Inc. held its Annual Memorial Service in Portsmouth, Ohio last December.

Over 100 people attended. The memorial was to those who passed on this past year, and it paid tribute to families who lost loved ones. As we all know, the holidays often bring sadness to families as they suffer with the absence of the ones they love who have died.

Ralph F. Scott, who is a long-time personal friend of retired major league baseball player, Al Oliver, enjoys and supports the Portsmouth community's participation in this annual event.

Al Oliver spoke, with humor and candor, as he reflected on his personal losses and the void in our lives brought about by our loved ones who have gone on. He offered eloquent words of spiritual strength in times of trial.

The community appreciates the work of Ralph F. Scott, and The Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home, for their unwavering community support and as a continuing initiator of spiritual fellowship.
